Three participant categories

Who can get a check?

Who can receive the Podlaskie Tourist Check?

The check is available to Polish citizens resident in Poland, in one of three categories. You choose the category in the application and it is what we verify at check-in.

Senior

A person aged 60 or over on the day of application. At check-in, age is confirmed by an ID card or passport.

Large Family Card

An adult holding a valid and active Large Family Card. The card number goes into the application and the card itself is shown at check-in.

Tourist

Any adult — with no further conditions. This category has the smallest funding pool, so it runs out fastest.

One check per person for the whole programme, regardless of round or category. Applications go to the programme organiser, not to the accommodation facility.

Programme change

The voucher became a check

Podlaskie Tourist Voucher and Podlaskie Tourist Check — what changed

New name, new rules

On 24 August 2026 the Podlaskie Tourist Check replaced the second edition of the Podlaskie Tourist Voucher. The check is worth a flat 300 PLN, requires two nights and introduces three participant categories the voucher did not have.

Voucher Round III cancelled

The September round of the voucher will not take place in its previous form. The money set aside for it moved to the check and is now split across its three rounds.

What about old vouchers

Round II vouchers stayed valid until 31 August 2026 and are no longer accepted after that date. A voucher cannot be swapped for a check — the check requires a separate application.

The programme terms are set by the Podlaskie Regional Tourist Organisation. Full rules and the register of facilities: podlaskiczekturystyczny.pl

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Podlaskie Tourist Check — frequently asked questions

Common questions about the Podlaskie Tourist Check in Bialowieza: who qualifies, how long the stay must be and how settlement works on site.

Does Dwor Bartnika accept the Podlaskie Tourist Check?

Yes — we are listed in the programme register of accommodation facilities. You can use the check with a direct booking paid on site. Reception verifies the check at check-in, assigns it to your booking and takes 300 PLN off the bill.

What happened to the Podlaskie Tourist Voucher?

The second edition of the Podlaskie Tourist Voucher ended on 31 August 2026 and its third round was cancelled in its previous form. The funding moved to the Podlaskie Tourist Check, which has been running since 24 August 2026 under new rules. A voucher cannot be exchanged for a check — the check requires a separate application.

How much is the check and how many nights are required?

The check is worth a flat 300 PLN in all three rounds. It requires a single booking covering an unbroken stay of at least two consecutive nights — regardless of how many people that booking covers.

By when must the stay begin?

What counts is the day the stay begins, not when it ends. The stay must start within the round printed on the check: by 30 September for Round I, 31 October for Round II and 30 November 2026 for Round III. If a stay starts in one round and ends in the next, the check still belongs to its own round.

Who can receive the Podlaskie Tourist Check?

A Polish citizen resident in Poland, in one of three categories: Senior (aged 60 or over on the day of application), Large Family Card holder (an adult with a valid, active card) or Tourist (any adult). The category is declared in the application and verified at check-in.

How many checks can one person receive?

One for the entire programme — regardless of the round or the category applied for. The system also blocks a second check being issued to the same phone number.

When and where do you apply for a check?

Applications go only to the programme organiser, through the form on the Podlaskie Tourist Check website — not to the accommodation facility. Rounds open on 1 September, 1 October and 2 November 2026, and the form is published within a time window announced at least 24 hours in advance. The pool runs out very quickly.

Why does the booking system show the full price?

The online system does not deduct the check automatically — you book at the full price and choose payment on site. We deduct the value of the check from your bill at check-in, once the code and your ID have been verified.

Can I book through a booking portal?

No. The rules require a booking made directly with the facility and payment made directly to it. A booking through an intermediary makes the check impossible to settle — book with us online or by phone.

What if the stay costs less than the check?

The difference is not refunded and cannot be carried over to other services. You can add extra services at the property to use the full value of the check — just arrange it with reception.

Can the check be combined with other funding?

No. The rules exclude using the check alongside any other form of public funding for the same booking.

What do I need to bring to check-in?

The check — the code sent to you by SMS and as a PDF by email — and a valid ID card or passport. In the Large Family Card category, also a valid Large Family Card. The check is issued in your name, so the details must match the booking and your ID.

Does the check cover stays longer than two nights?

Yes. Two nights is the minimum condition, not a limit — the stay can be as long as you like and the check still reduces the bill by its value.
